Why attend counselling?

You may have been struggling with a particular mental health problem for a long time or perhaps an event or change in circumstances has brought new issues to bear. Maybe you are just feeling a bit lost or disconnected. In any case sometimes the first step is the hardest, but often the most important. If you do feel like you would benefit from talking to someone, please reach out. I am eager to help you do life better.

What is CBT?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy or CBT is a style of talking therapy used to combat a number of mental health issues, most commonly OCD (Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder). CBT teaches coping mechanisms for dealing with a variety of situations and focuses on how our thoughts and beliefs affect our feelings and actions.

How do I schedule an appointment?

All you need to do is click the "Book Online' button featured in the above ribbon. You will be asked to select the specific type of session you require, e.g., 'Online Session'. You will then be asked to select a time and date for your appointment. After you have entered your details you will be asked to pay for your session in advance (Introductory sessions do not require payment). You will receive confirmation of your session shortly after.

How do I change an appointment?

Any changes to existing appointments can be made via email. Please read our cancellation policy featured under 'Fees'.

Is counselling confidential?

Yes, counselling is confidential. After attending an introductory session both client and practitioner sign a confidentiality agreement. You will be walked through the points of the agreement which contains sections on fee structure, confidentiality, laws and policies.
